Daintee celebrates 25 years

At a time when the market is flooded with various substandard and spurious confectionery products, both local and foreign, it is essential to create awareness among consumers of the suitability of such products for consumption.

Do these products conform to the required standards?

According to the Food Act only certain colours, additives, preservatives and sweeteners are permitted in foods but the public is unaware of these stipulations.

It is also unreasonable to expect the consumer to select what is good or bad by reading the list of ingredients on the packs.

This is where the SLS certification comes in handy for the consumer to select food that is safe for consumption.

Daintee Limited is the only manufacturer of toffees and candies in Sri Lanka with SLS certification and ISO 9000-2008 international accreditation.
