CRICKET: Skipper Imraz Raffi produced a fine allround
performance to steer Zahira College to their third successive victory
defeating Maris Stella College Negombo outright by 132 runs in their
inter-school under-19 cricket tournament match which concluded at
Maradana yesterday.
Zahira: 228 and 224 for 4 decl (I. Raffi 101 n.o, A. Bohoran 30, S.
Ahmed 39 n.o, I. Mohamed 28).
Maris Stella: 116 (C. Dilshan 30, D. Shanaka 26, P. Ananda 6 for 36,
M. Basith 2 for 25) and 202 (S. Chaturanga 39, D. Chameera 28 n.o, I.

Spinner Raninda Sooriyakumara took a matchbag of eleven wickets as
Wesley College took major honours in their inter school under-19 cricket
tournament match against St. Joseph's College which ended in a draw at
Campbell Park yesterday.

match which ended in a draw at Kotahena yesterday.
