Seven cars for SMILE customers from NSB

The grand draw under the program SMILE Suba Gaman by the National Savings Bank, was held with the participation of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa recently at the National Youth Services Centre, Maharagama where seven new motor cars were awarded to the winners.

SMILE also offers prizes worth millions of rupees through a series of draws, held quarterly, bi-annually and annually. SMILE Accounts were introduced by The National Savings Bank and the Department of Posts as a joint project in order to enhance the volume of savings, to re-inculcate the savings habit and to generate funds needed for the development of the country.

At the grand draw of SMILE Suba Gaman motor car winners were customers from Gampaha, Rathnapura, Baddegama, Chavakachcheri, Jaffna, Ranala and Nittambuwa.

Secretary, Ministry of Postal Services A. Jayasekera, Chairman, NSB Pradeep Kariyawasam, Working Director Deshabandu Sumanadasa Abegunawardhana, GM/CEO H.M. Hennayake Bandara and Chairman National Youth Council Lalith Piyum Perera participated.
