Alpha acquires solid wood manufacturing plant

Alpha Industries [Pvt] Ltd the market leader for security safes, light metal office furniture and melamine wood based furniture and turnkey office interiors, have announced their latest acquisition of a solid wood manufacturing factory complex which is in line with their corporate strategy for diversification.

Managing Director Alpha Industries Priyanjith Weerasooria with the senior management team comprising Director/COO Deshantha Silva and GM - Marketing Jeremy David.

The new factory is located in the outskirts of Colombo and has the capacity to turn out all types of solid wood furniture, be it for corporate or individual requirement.

General Manager - Marketing, Alpha Jeremy David said that since “Alpha is aggressively targeting the leisure industry that it became almost an eventuality of them acquiring this new facility”. The booming tourism industry has shown signs of new construction of hotels and resorts where some of these entities need products quickly to cope with the demand of tourists.

Alpha’s brand reputation stands out very much within the corporate category where their other products and services are utilised by almost every office in this country. Alpha’s scope has been meeting customer requirements in different criteria. The company feels the time is opportune to expand into solid wood furniture manufacture, as they have made a name for themselves by turning out high quality and innovative office interiors using melamine wood based material for which it has become a benchmark for corporate office interior designs.
