Joes hold Trinitians to a draw

CRICKET: Trinity College fell short by three wickets from
pulling off their ninth successive victory in their centenary inter
school under 19 cricket tournament match against S. Joseph's College
which ended in a draw at Darley Road yesterday.
Chasing a victory target of 199 runs the Josephians collapsed to 105
for 7 in their second innings with spinner Aamil Anaz and D. Premasinghe
again causing the damage.
Earlier Trinity College were dismissed for 179 runs in their second
innings with left arm paceman Dinal Dhambarage capturing five wickets
for 69.

Prince of Wales College Moratuwa after been asked to follow on fought
back well in their second innings to force a draw to their inter school
under 19 cricket tournament match against St. Peter's College which
concluded at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Leg-spinner Sachithra Perera captured another five wicket haul as
Ananda College took major honors over Royal College in their inter
school under 19 cricket tournament match which ended in a draw at Ananda
Mawatha yesterday,

Middle order batsman Tharinda Karunaratne hit a splendid 118 to help
Wesley College force a draw to their inter school under 19 cricket
tournament match against S. Thomas' College which concluded at Mount
Lavinia yesterday.
