UL flies to new destinations soon

SriLankan Airlines has decided to re-commence scheduled flights to
Australia from Next year. In addition, the airline would also fly to
Guenshu (China) this week.
Minister of Aviation Priyankara Jayaratne said that it would be
acquiring additional flights to launch this operation.
The flights to Australia were withdrawn after the LTTE destroyed some
of the aircraft in attack at Colombo Airport.
He said that the SriLankan Airline's sea plane operation too would
commence next month. Due to the controversy that was created in Negombo
the airline will launch the operations from a new venue, he said.
He said that in addition the budget airline, Mihin Lanka is
contemplating to fly to Singapore this year. This would be a stop over
flight en-route to Jakarta.
The service is expected to be thrice weekly and would be offering the
lowest air fare in the market.
