President presents communication equipment to farmers

The President Mahinda Rajapaksa during his visit to the Agriculture Ministry stall at the Deyata Kirula exhibition presented computers and communication equipment to agricultural organisations which will help improve the technological know-how in the agriculture sector. The Deputy American Ambassador Vallery Foulor who also visited the exhibition said that such programs will help the country to merge with the global village.

She thanked the Sri Lanka Government for its commitment in providing this rare opportunity to farmers.

The President later visited Telecommunication and Information Ministry, STF, Police and Sri Lanka Army exhibition stalls and posed for a photograph with the Army Commander and STF officers.
