316 new PCs for Jaffna
Three-hundred-and-sixteen new Police Constables including 19 Women
Police Constables from Jaffna who passed out after a six-month training
at the Police Training School, Kalutara will receive their appointment
letters at a ceremony at the Vembadi Girls’ High School in Jaffna today.
The new Police Constables from Jaffna and their parents will also be
feted at a ceremony presided over by the Senior Superintendent of
Police, Jaffna Neville Pathamadeva.
The Police Constables who will receive their appointment letters will
be posted to 16 police divisions in the peninsula to handle duties and
work in Tamil, sources said.
Meanwhile, new applications have been called for police recruitments
in Jaffna, the sources said.
