Bloomfield on victory course

CRICKET: Sri Lanka discard spinner Suraj Randiv snapped up four wickets for 66 to put Bloomfield well on course to an outright victory over the defending champions Chilaw Marians CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which continued at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Chandimal ton help NCC to 436/9

Wicket keeper batsman Dinesh Chandimal hit a splendid 110 to help the NCC amass a massive 436 for 9 in their first innings on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match against Lankan CC which continued at Maitland Place yesterday.

Lankan CC: 236.

Saram fine knock

Middle order batsman Indika de Saram hammered a magnificent 115 to help Ragama CC build up a huge first innings lead over Baduraliya CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which continued at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Baduraliya CC: 236 and 139 for 5 (C. Withanage 32,S. Wijeratne 57, D. Indika 19 n.o, N. Premaratne 2 for 39,U. Indrasiri 3 for 38).

Colts gain first innings lead

All rounder Jeevantha Kulatunga and Ishan Jayaratne scored two fighting half centuries to help Colts CC snatch a close first innings lead over Saracens CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A'cricket tournament match which continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

Kandy YCC in strong position

Kandy Youths Cricket Club were in a strong position at the end of the first days play in their P. Sara Trophy cricket tournament match against Matugame Cricket Club which began at the Matugama Esplanade yesterday.The match will be continued today at 9.45 a.m.
