Royal skipper Rambukwella and Vimukthi of Panadura Royal climb to
the top

OBSERVER-MOBITEL AWARDS: Royal skipper Ramith Rambukwella received a
tremendous boost prior to their 'Big' encounter around the corner
against S. Thomas', shooting into the top spot at the end of count
number 7 in the Observer/Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer All
Island Contest 2011.
His closest rival Anandian spinner Sachitra Perera is just 272 votes
behind him and in the weeks remaining it should be a stiff tussle for
the top spot between Rambukwella, Anandian Sachitra Perera, Thomian
Neomal Wickremasekera and even Royalist Bhanuka Rajapakse.Rambukwella
leads with 23,817 votes with Sachitra Perera second with 23,545,
Rajapakse third with 20,124 votes and Neomal Wickremasekera fourth with
19,906 votes.
In the Outstation Contest Royal Panadura's Dushan Vimukthi climbed to
the number one position, polling 10,074 votes ousting Maris Stella's
Chatura Dilshan who occupied the top spot last week. Vimukthi has a
48-vote each over Dilshan (10,074 votes) to 10,026 by Dilshan (10,026
votes).
Sanjika Ridma of St. Servatius' College, Matara is presently third
with 9,872 votes, having dropped down one place.
