Kandy District keen on improving netball

NETBALL: The Netball Association of Kandy District is keen to improve the standard of the game in Kandy and the association has arranged to have tournaments as well as coaching camps so that they would be able to raise the standard of the game.

At a recent meeting of the committee it was decided to workout the under 15, 17 and under 19 Kandy District Schools Tournament and also conduct an Inter-Club Open Tournament.

Besides having tournament, the Kandy District Netball Association will have coaching camps with the assistance of the Kandy District Sports Development Foundation, stated Mrs. T. M. P. Kumarihamy the Secretary of the Kandy District Netball Association.
