Expo Bazaar to showcase Lanka’s product range
Sri Lankans will get an opportunity to see and feel the range of
goods and services exported under one roof at the Expo Bazaar at Green
Path from April 8-10 for the first time.

The trade fair and exhibition is organised by the Export Development
Board (EDB) on a concept of MP Namal Rajapaksa.
Chairman, EDB Janaka Ratnayaka said that 1,500 exporters export 4000
varieties while a total of 550 exporters contribute to 85 percent of the
export revenue.
Around 150 exporters will exhibit their products and services at the
exhibition.
"The objectives of the Expo are to show the potential of our exports
to the diplomatic community,stimulate potential entrepreneurs to become
exporters and change the attitude of people towards our products", said
the chairman. He said that this is the launching pad for next year’s
Expo.
As the diplomatic community will visit the exhibition and trade fair,
we will be able to attract the best buyers next year.
It is also planned to launch the e-directory together with the SLT
Rainbow pages.
This will give publicity to exports and exporters free by having a
company profile of each exporter as well as the product profile. This
will benefit the exporter community. He said that this is the first step
of having virtual trade exhibitions in the future. In addition people
will also get an opportunity to buy products within the limitations of
the exporters.
The exhibition and trade fair will be open from 10 am to 10 pm.
