CRICKET: Sri Lanka discard spinner Suraj Randiv returned outstanding figures of eight wickets for 88 to give Bloomfield a good first innings lead over Saracens CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which continued at Reid Avenue yesterday.

Bloomfield: 372 for 9 decl (D. Munaweera 22, N. Karunanayake 29, S. Jayantha 103, P. Jayawardena 57, S. Gangodawila 36, S. Dissanayake 64 n.o, S. Randiv 30, R. Kaluarachchi 2 for 56, G. Alwis 3 for 88) and 14 for no loss.

Chilaw Marian gain 1st innings points

Spinner Malinda Pushpakumara captured six wickets for 84 to help Chilaw Marians CC snatch first innings points over CCC on the second opening day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' match which continued at Katunayake yesterday.

Colts on victory course

Spinner Sajeewa Weerakoon took a five wicket haul and skipper Malinda Warnapura hit a fighting half century to put Colts CC on course to an outright victory over Ragama CC on the second day of their SLC Premier League Tier 'A' cricket tournament match which continued at the Thurstan College ground yesterday.
