'Battle of Mangosteens' on April 8 and 9

CRICKET: The 53rd annual cricket encounter popular known as the
"Battle of the Mangosteens" between Tissa Central and Kalutara Vidyalaya
will be played at the Kalutara Esplanade on April 8 and 9.
This eagerly looked forward to match has not been played regularly of
the matches played, Kalutara Vidyalaya has won on 20 occasions while
Tissa Central has won on seven occasions.
This year, Kalutara Vidyalaya is captained by Sandun Chamara while
Tissa Central has Kasun Niwanka as captain.
This season, Kalutara Vidyalaya has played seven matches won one
against D. S. Senanayake College and lost to Sri Sumangala, Panadura and
drawn the rest.
On the other hand, Tissa Central has played 10 matches and won one
and drawn the rest, but had first innings lead in eight of the matches.
