Amendments to the proposed Private Sector Pension Scheme will be made only after constructive proposals are submitted by trade unions, political parties and employers, said Labour and Labour Relations Minister Gamini Lokuge.

New voters lists out from May 31

The number of voters in the Jaffna district will drop by over 300,000 in the new voter registers, said Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya. The enumeration of voters is being completed by the Elections Department and the new lists will take effect from May 31, 2011.
