Seminar on planting trees

The Idirilokaya Organisation will be holding a series of seminars on "Planting Trees and Taking Care of Plants".

The first seminar will be held at 10.00 a.m. today at the Auditorium of the National Apprenticeship Training Institute - No. 581, Galle Road, Katubedda, Moratuwa.

The seminars will be held at school level and divisional secretarial level.

The objective is to encourage the people to protect our ecological heritage and to grow plants which are gradually disappearing. About sixty thousand acres of forest coverage are being removed annually.

This first seminar will be held for persons and organisations engaged in timber and timber related businesses and industries in Sri Lanka.
