NDB Bank appoints Chairman and Deputy Chairman

NDB Bank has appointed Hemaka D.S. Amarasuriya as Chairman and Ashok Pathirage as Deputy Chairman, with immediate effect.

Amarasuriya has an impressive range of management, industrial marketing and business skills from his tenure as Chairman Singer Group, and on the Boards of Regnis Lanka and Bata Shoe Company of Ceylon.

He also brings with him experience in international management as a former Senior Vice President of Singer Asia Limited and Vice President of Retail Holdings Limited USA.

Pathirage co-founded Softlogic in 1991 and has served the Softlogic Group as Managing Director from its inception. He was appointed Chairman of the Group in 2000. He is also Chairman of Uniwalkers, Softlogic Finance PLC and Chairman/Managing Director Asiri Group of Hospitals and subsidiaries of the Asiri Group.
