Consecration of stupa

The consecration of Siri Gautama Dhammarajika Stupa, Kaduwela will be held on Saturday from 6.00 am. under the patronage of Ven. Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thera. Meals and first aid will be provided for devotees participating in this meritorious event.

The Stupa is the brainchild of Ven. Gnanananda Thera. Relics of the Buddha will be deposited in the inner relic chamber and Hatares Kotuwa of Dhammarajika Stupa. To represent the Dhamma, the entire Digha Nikaya (a part of Sutta Pitaka) written on bronze sheets will be deposited in the stupa. Relics of Arahants placed in the stupa will represent the Sangha.

The Chuda Manikkya at the pinnacle of the stupa will be one of the most precious of such gems and without any damages.
