Employees’ Councils to boost productivity at workplaces
Employees Councils in workplaces will help improve productivity, said
National Languages and Social Integration Ministry, Employees Council
Operational Director Piyadasa Ratnapala. The concept of employees
Councils was implemented during the 1970s in five ministries.
This concept also has special features to help achieve institutional
targets, follow up on work and improve employee talents, Ratnapala said.
The Ministry of National Languages and Social Integration will conduct a
seminar on establishing Employees’ Councils and Language Societies on
the directive of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Hector Kobbekaduwa
Agrarian Research and Training Centre tomorrow.
National Languages and Social Integration Minister Vasudeva
Nanayakkara, Ministry Secretary Malkanthi Wickramasingha and several
ministers and heads of departments and institutions will participate in
the seminar, he said.
