PM to open Vidulka-2011
”Vidulka-2011” is yet another pioneering undertaking by the Sri Lanka
Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA) to enhance energy efficiency in all
sectors and to promote renewable energy technologies. Following the
successful event last year “Vidulka: has gained popularity as an ideal
platform to popularise energy technologies, products and services. The
mission of “Vidulka”, which would “Explore creativity, popularise
technology, impart knowledge and share experience towards improved
applications of sustainable energy practices”, is well conceptualized to
match the national goals in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Vidulka-2011 has three vital components, namely; National Energy
Efficiency Award Ceremony, International Energy Exhibition and the
National Energy Symposium. Through these events, participants can reach
out to hundreds of energy professionals representing various industries,
energy academia and a large section of the general public and students
from all disciplines.
The event will be held at the BMICH from August 11 to 14 and will be
ceremonially opened by Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne on the invitation
of Minister of Power and Energy, Patali Champika Ranawake, with the
participation of Deputy Minister of Power and Energy, Premalal
Jayasekare and Secretary to the Ministry, M.M.C. Ferdinando. |
