Close battle between Navy’s Dev Anand and Kandy’s Fazil Marija

Caltex Rugby Contest: The contest between Navy’s Dev Anand and Kandy SC’s Fazil Marija is becoming hotter with both receiving a good number of votes at the end of count number 8 in the Sunday Observer/ Caltex Most Popular Rugger Player and Most Popular Rugger Team competition.

Navy’s place kicker Dev Anand who specialises in his drop kicks has received 20, 603 votes to Kandy’s fly half Fazil Marija who polled in 18,276 votes. In the team competition Kandy Sports Club is well ahead of Navy SC with 19,127 votes and Navy who is in second place has 17,894 votes.
