Sri Lanka 'A' to play one dayers from tomorrow
The touring Sri Lanka 'A' team will open the one day limited over leg
of their tour of England in Manchester tomorrow.
They will meet England Development team in the first of a series of
limited over matches to be played in Manchester tomorrow.
Their second one dayer will be against Nottinghamshire at Nottingham
on Wednesday which will be followed by the three-match unofficial ODI
series against England Lions to be played on August 12, 14 (both in
Worcester) and 16 (in Northampton).
Sri Lanka 'A' held England 'Lions' to a draw in their one off
unofficial Test concluded t North Marine Road Ground in Scarborough on
Friday. Chasing a victory target of 326, Sri Lanka made a bold reply
before the match was called off after 28 overs. The highlight of the
final day's play was that unfinished 127-run opening partnership by Sri
Lankans Malinda Warnapura (79 n.o) and Lahiru Thirimanne (36 n.o).
