Alliance Française De Colombo presents 'The Grande Dame of Piano' Shani Diluka from France

Alliance Française De Colombo , the Premier French Language & Cultural Centre in Colombo since 1955, presents 'The Grande Dame of Piano' Shani Diluka on Friday August 26 at 7 pm at the Lionel Wendt Theatre in Colombo 7.

Also her husband Gabriel De Magadure from the famous Quatuor Ebene a renowned French Violinist will perform as the guest artist.

Shani Diluka the internationally renowned Monaco born Sri Lankan Pianist, has been called the ,Grande Dame of the Piano, "A Piano Prodige" ""Pianist Hors Norme "" (Exceptional) "Envoutant" (bewitching) etc, Recently named among the ten best Pianists in France to be selected for the Jury, in "Election du Piano" and held in Paris at the mythycal Salle Playel.

She was also chosen as "The God Mother" in 2010 and 2011 of the Festival "Trophe des Alpes Cote De Azur (the French Riviera).

Her Discs have won a number of distinguished International awards. including Two "Choc du Monde de la Musique" ( "Shock in the World of Music) "R.T.L. Gold", "Coup de Coeur Harmonioa Mundi" also of Classica , and Arte, Highest notes 5/5 from Diapason ,and from Bayern Music ,and noted 10/10 from the very exigent Concerto Net, her Disc's are among the 10 Best selling list in Classical Music etc

Her recording selected by Radio France Musique E has been aired on 150 radios world wide for Mozart's 150th Anniversary.

Recently she was invited to Bucharest as the star attraction for the "Great Day of Chopin" at the Enesco Museum, invited for 7 cosecutive years to the Festival Roque D' antheron, also known as the "MECCA" of Piano's", invited for 5 cosecutive years to Japans biggest Classical Music Festival "FolleJournee " . The Disc's titled "The best of Roque d' Antheron" produced each year includes Shani among the Few Great Artists thus honored ( six years in a row)

As a Chambrist she has performed with some of the worlds elite, "The QuartetPrazak." The Ebene Quartet" ."Quartet Mogdliani ", Quartet Yssae or with Valentine Erben of the "Erben Quartet" to name a few, She has partnered with such famous international violonists as the Japanese Sayaka Shoji , The Rumanian Radulovich, the Russian Mahktin, ,etc and with famous cellists such as the Russian Valentina Vassiliyeva ...Marc Coppey, or ValentinErben , ....... or lyrical Great names as the mythical TerezaBergonza, and two weeks ago partnered with one of the worlds greatest soprano's Natalie Dessay..

ShaniDiluka has been chosen twice by The Mehli Mehta Foundatrion of Zubin Mehta in Mumbai in 2008 and 2010 to perform and give Master Classes in Mumbai, India. Further in 2010 Festival Arties chose her for a concert tour of India
