Joes thru' to pre-quarter finals

CRICKET: St. Joseph's College, Colombo qualified for the
pre-quarter-finals of the under 17 division one cricket tournament when
they beat St. Servatius, College, Matara by six wickets in their
tournament match played at Matara.
Sadeera Samarawickrema (78 from 77 balls inclusive of 13 fours and a
six) and skipper Aravind Fernando 55 were involved in a second-wicket
partnership of 115 which helped Josephians to win.
St. Servatius, College: 196 for 8 wkts in 50 overs (Thanula Sasmith
49 not out, Vidath Dilshan 40, Dishan Indika 28, Dilshan Madhusanka 22,
Vihanga de Silva 20: Yeshan Samarasingha 2 for 26, Sachin Hewawasam 2
for 32).
St. Joseph's College: 198 for 4 wkts in 33.2 overs (Sadeera
Samarawickrema 78, Aravind Fernando 55, Kalpa Ravihena 19 not out:
Sanjika Tidma 2 for 53).
