Mahanama beat Rahula on Parabola Formula by 44 runs

CRICKET: Mahanama College put an end to the run of success of Rahula College, Matara when bad light put an end to their success streak at the Rahula College grounds in their under 17 cricket tournament match.

Rahula College, Matara was on a winning streak, but they had to give in to Mahanama on this occasion. The match was originally to have been played at the Uyanwatte Stadium, but with the wicket not fit enough to play, it was shifted to be played at Rahula College grounds.

The match was limited to 33 overs per team and Mahanama did well to score 253 for 9 wickets in 33 overs. Then Rahula College was on 172 for 8 wickets in 26.3 overs. However, according to Parabola Formula, Rahula had to score 216 runs when the match was stopped.

Therefore, Mahanama won the match by 44 runs.
