Invincible Kenyans dominate in women's 10,000m

DAEGU, Aug.27 - Kenya rewrote IAAF World Championship history by
winning all six medals that were on offer in a single day as they made
another clean sweep in the women's 10,000m final worked off under lights
today.
Following the success in the women's marathon by winning all three
medals this morning, the mighty Kenyan women came out with another fine
display of their stamina and endurance by securing the first four places
in the women's 10,000m final.
Vivian Jepkemoi Cheruiyot ran a season's best 30 minutes and 48.98
seconds to bag the gold medal, ahead of compatriots Sally Kipyego
(30:50.04) and Linet Chepkwemoi Masai (30:53.59) who settled for the
silver and bronze medals respectively. Their team mate Priscah Jepleting
Cherono (30:56.43) narrowly missed a medal after finishing fourth.
