Terrorism poses threat to national security:

‘Australia should ban those with terrorist links’

Sri Lanka’s massive diplomatic triumph at the recent CHOGM Summit in Perth, Australia, continues to reverberate with influential sections of the Australian political spectrum and media coming to the defence of the Sri Lankan Government. They claim that the protests against the Sri Lankan Government based on human rights issues were unfortunately leaving out the “key villain” – the LTTE – out of the story.

Greed for money results in murder

It was a painstaking investigation done by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to trace the killers of Dr. Priyanka Prasad Jayasinghe who vanished after firing nine shots from a 9.mm pistol. The killers made their escape on a motorcycle. On that fateful night the two assassins had been waiting for some time near the doctor,s private dispensary at Mahaedanda at Karandeniya until the he emerged from the dispensary and walked towards his car parked on the opposite side.
