HNB's Yauwanabhimana program to help youth

Hatton National Bank and premier corporate businesses in Sri Lanka introduced a new banking concept "Today's youth are the nation's hope for a better tomorrow" and has launched the HNB Yauwanaabimana program.

HNB has pledged its support to this initiative and has obtained the support and cooperation of some recognised organisations for the program. Hayleys, CIC, Diesel and Motor Engineering Plc (DIMO), Dialog Axiata Plc, Holcim, the British Council, the University of Colombo and the World University Society of Canada, have also pledged their support.

HNB Yauwanabhimana was designed to empower youth between the ages of 18 and 30 to offer young people the opportunity to improve skills through a groundbreaking initiative aptly named 'Yauwanabhimana,' meaning 'The Pride of Youth'.

It aims at providing young people with resources, skills and tools they need to become more 'employable' individuals to be able to secure employment in the corporate sector or manage self-employment.

At a time of unprecedented growth and development, honesty and good character are precious commodities for a nation and economy.
