Ceremony to felicitate Thinakaran correspondents

A ceremony to felicitate present and former provincial correspondents in the Kalutara district, attached to Lake House Tamil daily Thinakaran will be held at the Al Humaisara National School’s S.M. Jabir Hadjiar memorial hall at 8.30 am today.

The inaugural meeting of the Thinakaran and Varamanjari Readers Club in Beruwala will also be held Lake House Editorial Director Seelaratne Senarath will be the chief guest. Editor of Thinakaran Jaffna Edition and Varamanjari T. Senthil Velavar, Associate Editor Suhaib M.M. Cassim and News Editor Visu Karunanidhi will be among the main speakers.

Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne, Parliamentarians A.H.M. Azwer and M.S.M. Aslam, Provincial Council Member M.M.M. Amjad and Beruwala Urban Council Chairman Milfer Gafoor will also participate. Provincial correspondents to be felicitated include M.B.M. Mukthar, I.M.M. Uvais, V. Murthy, A.H.M. Aththas, M.S.M.
