Fine double by Bens skipper Jason

Benedictine skipper Jason Perera gave a fine all round display when
he struck a fluent 53 and had a match bag of 7 for 52 in their drawn
school cricket encounter at Mount-Lavinia yesterday.
The Bens batting first were restricted to 136 as Madushan
Ravichandrakumar and Dilum Fernando shared six wickets among themselves.
The Thomians in reply were marginally better totalling 148 mainly
through Chamod Pathirana who was unbeaten on 25 overnight and struck a
fine 91. Sachin Peiris (5 for 44) and Jason Perera (4 for 42) had the
impressive bowling figures for the Bens.
Wesley hold Joes to a draw
At Darley Road: The school cricket match between St. Joseph's
and Wesley ended in a draw after a rain affected first day.
