Subhagya Vidyalaya in 9 wkt win

CRICKET: Subhagya Vidyalaya, Moneragala – the team lying second right now in the 4th annual Dilmah Challenge Trophy Tournament for visually handicapped cricketers, scored a convincing 9-wicket win over Ratmalana Sports Club in the tournament match played at Piliyandala Somaweera Chandrasiri Stadium.

Ratmalana Sports Club were out for 125 and Subhagya Vidyalaya made 126 for one wicket.
Ratmalana S.C: 125 (Thushara Udhyanga 40, Lakshan 26; Prabath 3 for 7. Udhara 3 for 12).
Subhagya Vidyalaya: 126 for 1 wkt (Suranga Sampath 80 not out).

Ranaviru Sevena win:

In another match, Ranaviru Sevana with a fine unbeaten knock of 174 by Abeyratne did well to beat Rajarata Jayawiru in a rain restricted innings on the calculation of runs scored in 35 overs.

The highlight was the unfinsted sixth wicket partnership of 196 runs between Abeyratne (174 not out) and Matugama 54 not out.

Ranaviru Sevana: 378 for 5 wkts in 40 overs (Abeyratne 174 not out, Matugama 54 not out; Keerthi Bandara 2 for 69).

Rajarata Jayawiru: 169 for 5 wkts in 35 overs (rain halted play – Atapattu 32, Madawala 31 not out; Ravindra 3 for 37).
