President to inaugurate Deyata Kirula on Feb 4:
Over Rs. 22,230 m for 47 projects

Over Rs.22,230 million have been invested in various development
projects in the Anuradhapura district to mark the Deyata Kirula-2012
Development project, Telecommunication and Information Technology
Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.
Deyata Kirula-2012 National Development Exhibition will be
inaugurated by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the Independence Day –
February 4 – in Oyamaduwa, Anuradhapura.

The Minister said various projects of 57 ministries were implemented
through the Presidential Secretariat during the last few months to mark
the Deyata Kirula Project. One thousand million of rupees of
Telecommunication and Information Technology Projects were among those
projects the minister said.
The media which gave enomous support for the victory over LTTE
terrorism in 2009, gives a significant support for the success of Deyata
Kirula-2012 project, he said.
While some people left Sri Lanka during the unfortunate period under
the LTTE terror, people in the Anuradhapura District specially farmer
community provided the food for the nation. President Rajapaksa selected
the Anuradhapura district for Deyata Kirula National Project in 2012, to
appreciate their services, the minister said.
Anuradhapura District MP Sehan Semasingha said over Rs. 300 million
of several development projects were launched in Nachchaduwa Divisional
Secretary Division during the last few months.
The total allocation for the development projects for Anuradhapura
East electorate was successfully utilised without sending back the money
to the treasury last year, he said. Under the guidance of North Central
Province Cooperative Minister H.B. Semasingha computer centres, new
school libraries and buildings were provided under the Dayata Kirula
development project in the Anuradhapura East electorate.
Anuradhapura District MP Sehan Semasingha said tiles were provided to
cadjan thatched house owners. Roads and Tanks which were damaged during
the terror period were also reconstructed, he said.
