Contest for local photographers

Sri Lanka’s first reality photo contest ‘Canon Click and Win’ sponsored by Canon and Metropolitan was launched on Thursday and is expected to attract photographers from every sphere of the industry.

The contest is aimed at developing the photography skills of local amateurs and professionals.

Contestants can submit their entries under the categories of “Wedding Photography”, and “Fashion Photography”, while a new vote based award has been introduced to recognize “The Most Popular Photographer”.

Photographs must be handed over at the Canon Metropolitan Photo Hub at No.40, Edward Lane, Colombo 3.

One contestant can take part in all three categories and photographs can be in high resolution JPEG/PDF/Tif formats on a CD, A4 size with a 2mm bleeding. It has to be backed by a printed copy. Photo quality/size/resolution must be 300 dpi. A description of the photographs must be shared along with the photograph for judging purposes.
