Jan 19 to 22 in Peradeniya

TABLE TENNIS: The Senior and Junior National Table Tennis Championship organised by the Sri Lanka Table Tennis Association will be worked off at the Jagath Rajapakse International Table Tennis Stadium at Ganegoda, Peradeniya from January 19 to 22.

National Table Tennis Coach Jagath Rajapkse told the Sunday Observer that the Junior Championship will be held on January 19 and 20. The Senior Championship will be conducted on January 21 and 22.

All ranked players including the Top-Seeds Ishara Madurangi (Women) and Rohan Sirisena (Men) are expected to participate at this championship which will be held at this stadium for the first time.

The construction of the table tennis stadium which has facilities to play 16 matches simultaneously has given a new dimension to this sport, not only to Kandy but also to the country with the state of the art facilities.
