Over 120,000 affected by South Sudan clashes - UN

More than 120,000 people affected by the recent violence in South Sudan’s Jonglei state may need emergency assistance, which is twice the original estimate, the United Nations humanitarian official in the African country said on Friday.

Babies understand what their mothers are saying even though they do not know the language she is speaking, according to new research by British scientists. The study proves what parents have known for years - that babies pick up on the tone of their mother’s voice rather than her words.
