Sampath Bank offers tri-lingual dictionary for Avurudu
Sampath Bank celebrated 25 years of service to the nation recently.

This year, together with their 25th anniversary celebrations, the
bank has decided to advance the 'Aluth avurudu' celebrations by issuing
the Aluth Avurudu gifts from Friday, March 30.
Anyone depositing Rs.15,000 in a Sampath savings account will receive
a specially designed hard cover Trilingual Dictionary published by
M.D.Gunasena and Company and those depositing Rs 50,000 will be entitled
to a specially designed Wall Clock."The trilingual dictionary is being
offered as an incentive to enhance the language skills, particularly
among the younger generation,", Deputy General Manager, Marketing and
Business Development, Tharaka Ranwala said. "The user-friendly
dictionary contains terminology that is used in day to day conversation
thereby making it very practical. With all the words being in all three
languages it will be a novel experience for the users."
"We are also falling in line with the Government's trilingual policy
and will also contribute towards strengthening communal harmony and
understanding," he added.
"Traditionally, Sampath Bank offers special gifts to customers on
Avurudu Day, but in view of the 25th anniversary, the Bank has decided
to celebrate 'avurudu' early this year. Customers will be able to
receive their gifts from March 30 at all Sampath branches located
islandwide", he said.
