Lankan elected Vice Chair of IOTC Compliance Committee

Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dr. (Mrs.) Damitha de Zoysa was elected unanimously as Vice-Chair for the next biennium at the Ninth Session of the Compliance Committee (CoC 09) of the 16th Session of the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) held in Freemantle, Australia last month.

Dr. de Zoysa led the delegation to the 16th Session of the IOTC. Roberto Cesari of the European Union was re-elected as Chair for the next biennium of the Compliance Committee.
