Doctor needs help for liver surgery
 Dr. Suminda Rathnayake (38) of Aluthwatte Road, Chilaw has been
diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis and is in a critical condition.
A small section of an O positive/negative or B positive/negative
liver of a healthy donor between the ages of 18 to 50 is urgently needed
for the liver transplant to be performed at a reputed hospital in India.
It is medically assure that the donor's liver will regenerate within
four weeks.

A pinnacle-laying ceremony of the new Chetiya at the Sambodhi
Nugashrama Vihara, Soysapura, Moratuwa will be held at the auspicious
hour 10.30 a.m. tomorrow under the patronage of Most Ven. Aggamaha
Panditha Dauldena Gnanissarabhidhana Maha Nayake of the Sri Lanka
Amarapura Maha Nikaya.The Chetiya was constructed with the funds donated
by well-known dancing teacher Chandana Wickremasinghe, his wife and Mrs.
Sunanda Hemamali of Kaldemulla, Moratuwa.
Cancer clinic on May 13
The Sri Lanka Cancer Society at Bullers Lane, Colombo 7 will hold its
next cancer-screening clinic on Sunday, May 13, from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30
a.m. to screen for early detection of breast, Cervical and oral cancers.
The services will be free.
