LDB supports Abayagiriya Chaitya restoration

Lankaputhra Development Bank (LDB) launched one of its social responsibility projects under the theme, "Lets get together and restore Abhayagiriya'' in Anuradhapura recently by contributing towards the restoration of the Stupa.

The campaign was carried out on July 23 with the participation of staff. It was organised by the Manager of the Polonnaruwa Branch, Rahula Senanayake and his staff.

The Bank enlisted the support of its clients and the business community, comprising nearly 500 participants.

General Manager and CEO, Lankaputhra Development Bank, Lasantha Amarasekera said that as a state-owned entity, the Bank supported such endeavours.

The Bank has implemented several projects to promote the small and medium enterprises sector, thus making a major contribution of the national economy.

Lankaputhra Development Bank has branches in Colombo, Hambantota, Polonnaruwa, Kegalle, Kandy, Wennappuwa and Batticaloa. The Management has drawn up plans to open a branch at Jaffna in the near future.
