Prelate hails President for uniting country

"President Mahinda Rajapaksa is the only national leader who united the country after the Parakkramabahu era", said Ven. Rajakeeya Panditha Ven. Hinguloya Saranankara Nayaka Thera.

The Ven. Thera said so when the President paid a courtesy call on him at the Molagoda Raja Maha Viharaya recently.

Several books authored by the learned Thera were also presented to the President.

On being informed of several shortcomings at the Molagoda Maha Vidyalaya, President Rajapaksa instructed Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake to have them rectified without delay.

Most Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera, Anunayaka of the Malwatta Chapter, Prof. Gallella Sumanasiri Thera of Mologoda Raja Maha Viharaya, Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake and Presidential Secretariat Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath were also present.
