Malaysia-Lanka delegation discusses opportunities in North

A delegation from the Federation of Malaysian-Sri Lankan Organisations met Chief Secretary of the Northern Province R. Wijialudchumi at the Northern Province Governor's Sub Office in Colombo recently.

Topics discussed during the meeting included development projects, education sector development, industries and drinking water supply projects which are in progress in the province.

Investment sources and investment opportunities in the Northern Province were also discussed.

The delegation explored how the Malaysian-Sri Lankan organisations can contribute to develop education in the North.

The feasibility of promoting the tourism industry in the Northern Province was also discussed.

The Chief Secretary briefed the delegation on the development projects implemented since 2009 to 2012 and the future development plans in the province.
