Maligawatta housing scheme to be vested in the public

The Maligawatta Housing Scheme complex which was neglected without proper maintenance for several years was given a facelift by the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA), under the direction of Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, Wimal Weerawansa at a cost of Rs. 200 million.

The renovated complex will be vested in the public today at 4.00 p.m., under the auspices of the Minister.

The winners of the art competition under the theme of 'Then and Now' will receive their certificates from the minister today.

The ceremony will be followed by a musical night will be presented by Seeduwa Sakura Music Group at the P.D. Sirisena playground at Maligawatta.
