Ashanthi's new single for De PaixYatra

Universal Music India has chosen Sri Lanka's Hip Hop and R&B artist Ashanthi's new single, "Let's give peace a chance" as the official song of the De PaixYatra, a Motorcycle journey from India to England that seeks to honour the unsung heroes of eight nations who have devoted their lives to bring about change. This is the first time that a Sri Lankan artiste has been selected to sing the title song of such a worldwide album.

The initiative has been launched to promote world peace and will be flagged off on August 11 in Mumbai.

Universal Music will release Ashanthi's "Let's Give Peace A Chance" as an exclusive digital single which will be available for on line and mobile downloads.

The single will be followed by a compilation album featuring songs of 'peace' that will be an accompaniment to the De PaixYatra project going forward.

The journey will cover eight nations across 56 cities to spread the message of peace and unity.
