President to take part in A’pura election rally

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will participate in the Provincial Council election rally in Anuradhapura on August 18.

The Eastern, North Central and Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council elections are scheduled to be held on September 8.

The final election rally will take place on September 5, according to SLFP General Secretary, Minister Maitripala Sirisena. President Rajapaksa will take part in seven rallies, one in each district.

Ministers, UPFA Parliamentarians, Provincial Council members and representatives of Local Government bodies in other districts too will take part in the election campaigns.
