SLBFE Iftar ceremony at BMICH

The annual Iftar ceremony conducted by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to mark the Ramadan festival was held on a grand scale at the BMICH last Friday.

The objective of this annual event as to strengthen friendship among members of all communities attached to the field of foreign employment.

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera highlighted the importance of all communities such as the Sinhalese, Muslims and Tamils in the country living in unity and peace.

The Minister also said many Middle Eastern countries have already provided employment opportunities to over a million Sri Lankans.
