Charitha Atak today

Wilson Gunaratne comedy drama 'Charitha Atak' will be staged at the Bishop's College Auditorium at 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. today in aid of the Welfare Society of Sri Lanka Telecom Customer Care Section. The play stars Gamini Hettiarachchi, Keerthi Bandara, Harry Wimalasena and Premaratne Tennakoon.


Japanese film fest in Peradeniya

A Japanese Film Festival will be held at the E.O.E. Pereira Theatre (Faculty of Engineering) of the University of Peradeniya on August 17th and 18th to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sri Lanka. It is jointly organised by the Embassy of Japan and the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.

The films to be screened are;

August 17 at 6.00 p.m. - Wanko- The Story of Me, My Family and My Dog.

August 18 at 10.00 a.m. - Fukushima Hula Girls- This film deals with the aftermath of the Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami of 2011.

August 18 at 2.30 p.m. - Quartet - This musical film celebrates the story of a family reunited by their love for classical music.
