Colombo Fashion Week to promote tourism

The Colombo Fashion Week will bring a new dimension of fashion wear to Sri Lanka with the Resortwear fashion show. The biggest names in Sri Lanka fashion will display their creations to promote tourism. Sri Lanka's first supermodel Perine Fernando pledged her support for the show and said that there is potential for Sri Lankan talent abroad. She said, “I firmly believe that Sri Lanka has what it takes to shine on the international fashion platform because the standard of fashion design and modelling has grown.”

The brains behind the Colombo Fashion Week, Ajai Singh said, “We are happy to have the best fashion partnerships with many new fashion labels and companies coming forward to support us.

This has proved that the Colombo Fashion Week is an event everyone wants to be a part of.” He said that it is not a fashion show just for people to talk about, but for the actual buyers who will get to know the latest trends and industrial standards.
