The Sirimavo Walk 2012’ was held yesterday under the patronage of First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. Principal Dhammika Jayaneththi, former Principal Pushpa Kalubowila, staff members, parents, present and past pupils participated. The funds raised from the Walk will be utilised for the construction of a gymnasium.

The Excise Department celebrates its centenary this year. Vishvamadu Maternity Clinic,
Mullaitivu has been refurbished, under the patronage of Excise Commissioner General Wasantha Hapuarachchi and his staff to mark the event. The building will be ceremonially opened by Hambantota District Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa today.
