Suspect noticed to appear in court

Colombo Additional Magistrate A. Nishantha Peirs issued notice on Mushthaq Saley Mohamed of 33, Alexandra Road, Colombo 6 to appear in court on the next court date. The Magistrate issued the notice on an application by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau which is conducting investigations on a complaint made by Mohamed Nauzer Fowzie of 78, School Lane, Colombo 3, with regard to a forged Power of Attorney.

The Colombo Fraud Bureau OIC submitting a detailed report to court said that the suspect was alleged to have produced a forged Power of Attorney to obtain a block of land.

The Fraud Bureau OIC submitted to court that they were awaiting the report from the Director of Questioned Documents.

President's Counsel C.R. De Silva with Attorney-at-law Rasika N. Balasuriya appeared for the complainant.
