China International Gold Jewellery and Gem Fair

Chairman and CEO of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA), Prasad Galhena, said that the NGJA in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Consulate in Shanghai organised the 'Sri Lanka Pavilion' at the China International Gold Jewellery and Gem Fair for the seventh consecutive year at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Sri Lanka pavillion consists of 20 Sri Lankan gem and jewellery companies.

"The China International Gold Jewellery and Gem Fair is dedicated to the booming jewellery market in China. Jewellery makers from different parts of the country display a variety of exquisite jewellery in gold and precious gemstones. It seeks to promote the jewellery making trade in the country, highlighting the Chinese domination of the world economy in the last decade," a spokesman for the company said.
